Partial Garage Conversion to create a through kitchen and dining area thus increasing the habitable space. Contractors: Builder, Electrician, Heating Engineer, Joiner, Plasterer, Decorator, Door replacement, Flooring.
Challenge: Tight timescale. Lack of natural light.
Kitchen and Garage
Showing the original party wall between the kitchen & the garage, which was supported and removed during works to open up the space. The re-purposed door in the new dividing wall is the entrance to the remaining part of the garage.
Fully Glazed Door
Our solution to the lack of natural light was the installation of a fully glazed door with vents in the frame.
Roller Shutter Door
Photo taken from the roller shutter door, the cleared garage before the construction of the dividing fire wall. The wall in situ with the re-purposed fire door & entrance into the new dining area.
